Chips

Your chips are your weapons.  They have value not only because they are worth money, but also because they help you win other peoples' money.  Guard them carefully!!!  When you call with your chips, the only way you can win is if you hit a good card or win a show-down.  When you bet with your chips you can win if he folds or by winning a show-down.  Your chips are your strategic resources, don't throw them away calling!  They're much more valuable when you save them for raising, because then they serve two purposes.  Your chips put pressure on your opponent, they make him squirm, and they force him to put lots of his precious chips in the pot.
